Ongoing Outreach Projects

DOT Ministries is committed to developing our teens, and connecting the dots between faith, community and service. We often plan outreach projects that will directly benefit the communities of Whitesville, WV. Food and school supplies are always in need, and in 2021 we built a community library box.

We remind our teens the mission trip does not end once we are home. Rather, we are called to be missionaries year-round. Check back to see how you can help this community throughout the year.

FOOD DRIVE

St. Joseph the Worker Chapel plays an important role in our mission trip. We attend daily Mass, have full use of the kitchen and the hall, and eat our meals there. St. Joe’s has a Blessing Box we’d like to help fill, so we will be collecting nonperishable pantry items.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

Whitesville Elementary School is our home while we are in West Virginia.  We sleep, shower, and have structured and unstructured activities in this facility.  We could not hold our mission trip without the support of this school, so we are excited to host a school supply drive.

 LIBRARY BOX & BOOK DRIVE

Little library boxes are popping up all over, and we’d like to build one for Whitesville. The plan is to build the box in Alpharetta, fill it with books, then deliver and install. This “Take One Leave One” program helps inspire readers, build community and expands book access for all.
